PUBLIC NOTICE

Public Notice is hereby given that the Village of Waterman Plan Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 6:30 P.M., and the Village Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 7:15 P.M., at the Village Hall, 215 W. Adams Street, Waterman, Illinois, to consider the request of Northern FS, Inc. and Conserv FS, Inc., owners of the subject property, pursuant to Sections 9-3-4 and 9-5-4 of the Village of Waterman Municipal Code in order to have the parcel re-zoned from A-1, Agricultural District to C-1, General Retail District so as to use said parcel for sale and distribution of farming supplies and services. Sections 9-3-4 and 9-5-4 of the Village of Waterman Municipal Code provides that if a particular zoning is requested other than A-1, Agricultural District as a condition of annexation, then a public hearing of the zoning requested must be held before the Plan Commission, and an amendment to the zoning map must be adopted by the Village Board, therefore a public hearing is required.
