Distribution Of Donations – Waterman Community Chest

On March 18, 2019 the Waterman Community Chest gathered at the Clinton Township Community Building to hand out donations to several groups!  Some of the groups were American Legion Auxiliary, Ben Gordon Center, CASA Youth Advocacy, DeKalb County Nursing Home Activity Fund, Family Service Agency, Hinckley Area Food Pantry, Hope Haven, Indian Creek Education Foundation, Indian Creek Recreation, Waterman Lion’s Club, Muingan Park- Waterman Enhancement Group, N.I.C.E. Center in Lee, Open Door Rehab Center in Sandwich, Open Hands Preschool, Waterman, Opportunity House in Sycamore, Safe Passage, UMPEC (United Methodist Presbyterian Emergency Care), UNC (United Neighborhood Center), Voluntary Action Center, Waterman Area Heritage Society and Waterman Summer Recreation.   

Waterman Community Chest would like to thank everyone who helped them make the donation night a success!   It is through each person’s generosity that the quality of life is improved for all generations of people in our area!

WOW 20th Anniversary Spring Event

 

Women of the Word (WOW) is inviting all area men and women to a very special evening for our end of the year program, “Go Into All the World”. This will take place on Thursday April 11, 2019, at 7 p.m. at Waterman Presbyterian Church, 250 N. Cedar, Waterman, IL. We will be celebrating 20 wonderful years of WOW!  We please ask that any charter or former member of WOW to make a special effort to attend …. you will be blessed!!

 Please come listen to author and motivational speaker, Naomi Koesler. Naomi and her nine siblings are natives of Sri   Lanka. Impoverished and raised as Christians in a Buddhist country held many difficult challenges for the family. Migrating   to the United States in 1980 brought even more challenges in her faith. Today, she receives many speaker invitations to   share her testimony of God’s Goodness. 

 Bring a friend along to enjoy inspiration and fellowship! Light refreshments will be served following the program.
